Life can be difficult and at times very sad
Even if you consider you have not been bad
Life can deal you a hand which is hard to play
Accept it and deal with it you will be shown the way

As I walk this path of life
I try very hard to get it right
I hope that God will guide my way
As I pray to him for guidance every day

Some folk seem to have an easy ride
They cruise through life taking everything in their stride
Others have problems that never end
I sometimes wonder how God decides to send
Good things to some and bad to others
Maybe one day I will discover
The reason why he decides our path through life
I am sure he had a method because he must surely be right

If at times you wonder how you can cope with issues in your life
Pray to our Lord he will point out the way to get it right
Trust in him look for his signs they will be there
Maybe in the form of a friend he sent to help you share

Do you believe in angels? many do
I have heard lots of stories of angels guarding you
I have a friend who asks her angel for help which seems to work
The results seem to show that her angel listens and does not shirk

So I try to do the same and follow her advice
But maybe I am not meant to have an angel who is nice
Or maybe I just do not see when they are there
Maybe I am not observant but I do really care

I am rather nervous to see an angel may cause me stress
So maybe that is the reason they leave me alone when I am in a mess
So have you seen an angel or do you just trust they are there?
Doing God’s bidding his little disciples who dish out his care

Today is your birthday the day you were born
I thank the lord for your birth from the moment day dawns
The joy you have brought us is a wonderful thing
So many birthday wishes for all it may bring
